The Principal Accountant General (A&E) maintains the individual GPF accounts of nearly 3.7 Lakh employees of the Kerala State Government, High Court Judges and All India Service Officials working in Kerala as per the rules and procedures contained in the GPF (K) Rules 1964 and AIS (PF) Rules 1955 respectively.

About Gazetted Entitlement

The Gazetted Entitlement (GE) wing manages the pay, allowances, and service-related entitlements of Gazetted officers of the Kerala State Government throughout their careers. This includes maintaining accurate service records for State Government officers, All India Service Officers of the Kerala Cadre, Ministers and their Personal Staff, PSC Members, Judicial Officers, and Gazetted Officers under UGC/AICTE. Key responsibilities involve processing pay fixation, issuing pay and leave salary slips, maintaining leave accounts, and updating service histories. GE also oversees special authorizations, terminal surrender claims, and the preparation of pension papers, including providing liability details to the Pension Wing upon retirement. Through these activities, the Gazetted Entitlement Wing ensures efficient and transparent management of officers' entitlements.

About Pension

The Pension Group headed by an I.A. & A.S. Officer of the rank of Deputy Accountant General / Senior Deputy Accountant General deals with Verification and Authorization of Pension Claims of State Government employees, staff of Aided Schools/ Colleges, Local Bodies , Constitutional and Statutory Authorities such as High Court Judges, Chairman and Members of KPSC, Lok Ayukta and Upa Lok Ayukta, Members and Chairman appointed under the Kerala Public Men’s (Prevention of Corruption) Act, State Election Commission, State Information Commission, personal staff of Ministers/ Leader of Opposition/ Government Chief Whip/ Speaker etc., in Kerala whose pensionary charges are borne by State Government.
