Note: - Hqrs has vide letter No. 1331/STAFF(S&R)/CC/54-2013 dated 14/10/2024 released 10 post of Auditors and 01 post of AAO Held in Abeyance.
- In terms of Hqrs office’s letter (Strategic Management Unit) bearing No. 88/17-SMU/2022 dated 20th February 2026, Branch offices have been merged with the main offices i.e merger of O/o Pr.AG(Audit)-I, Maharashtra, Mumbai branch at Nagpur with O/o AG (Audit-II), Mah., Nagpur and O/o AG (Audit-II), Maharashtra, Nagpur stationed at Mumbai with O/o Pr.AG (Audit)-I, Mah., Mumbai. Accordingly, the Sanction strength of 8 Sr. AO, 14 AAOs and 10 Sr. Auditors of Nagpur Branch office has been added to this office SS in the respective cadre.

- Hindi Officer has been re-designated as Assistant Director (Official Language) in terms of Hqrs letter Circular No. 07/Staff Appointment-IV dt. 06/02/2025
- Hqrs office has vide letter No.413 Staff (Appt)-III/F-112-2025 dated 21-05-2025 abolished 02 (Two) supernumerary posts (Asst.Supervisor-1, Auditor-1) and continued 01 (One) supernumerary post in Sr. Auditor cadre originally sanctioned for effecting reservation in promotion to Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBDs) in compliance with the DOPTs OM dated 28-11-2023.
^ Hqrs vide letter No. 429/STAFF(S&R)/Re-Structuring/State/Audit Offices/182-2020 dt. 08/04/2025 has intimated revised Sanctioned Strength in the cadre of Sr.AO and AAOs for Civil and Commercial Branch.

- Hqrs office has vide letter No. released all the 10 (ten) posts of Auditors which were Held in Abeyance in lieu of other posts.
- Hqrs has vide letter No. 1331/STAFF(S&R)/CC/54-2013 dated 14/10/2024, released 01 post of AAO which was held in abeyance in lieu of 1 post of Sr. Data Processor vide Hqrs. Office Letter No. 4693- ब॰अ॰एव॰सा॰/ 5-2001 dated 26/12/2005
- One post of Hindi Officer, One post of Sr. Hindi Translator and Three posts of Jr. Hindi Translator have been sanctioned as permanent posts in terms per HQrs. Office vice letter No. 537- सृजन (हिन्दी)बजट अनुभाग/21-2011 dated 5/5/2011 w.e.f. 1/6/2011.
- Two posts of SG RK abolished and Two post of Clerks is increased in terms of HQrs. Office letter No.1013-NGE (App) 25-2010 dated 26-08-2010 w.e.f. 1/5/2011 and 1/7/2011.
- As per HQrs letter no. 1013-NGE (App) 25-2010 dated 26-08-2010, when any SGRK retires, the post of SGRK will abolish and there will be a corresponding increase in the Sanctioned strength of Clerk.
- As per Head quarters office circular No. 36/Staff AP/16-2010 bearing No. 980-Staff (App-1)/16-2010 dated 7/12/2011 the ratio of sanctioned posts between Stenographers and Personal Assistant has been refixed as 50-50% as Sr. Dy. A.G.(Admn) order dated 17-01-2012 & Admn’s office order no. 378 dated 23-01-2012 (Personal Asstt – 3 posts . and Stenographer –3 posts – w.e.f. 1/2/2012)
- Excludes 15 sanctioned temporary posts of CERA Wing (1 Sr. AO & 1 AO, 7 AAOs, 5 Adrs & 1 Clerk) which are being transferred to O/o Director General of Audit Central Revenue, Mumbai w.e.f. 1/5/2012.
- 5 (Five )temporary posts Supervisors sanctioned as per Head quarters Office letter No. BRS/Creation/112-2007 dated 13/3/2012, 2 (two) posts supervisors already sanctioned , 3 (Three) temporary posts of Supervisors added in Supervisors sanctioned strength w.e.f. 2/4//2012.
- Head quarters as per Office Order No. 123/SMU/PP/Restructuring/5-2011 dated 29/3/2012 has done restructuring with effect from 2/4/2012 of o/o the Pr. A. G. (Audit)-I, Mumbai and o/o A.G. (Audit)-II, Mah., Nagpur and A. G. (LBAA), Mumbai. The o/o the Sr. DAG (LBAA), Nagpur is merged with o/o A. G. (Audit)-II, Mah., Nagpur and the staff (Sanctioned strength and Persons in position) on deputation to o/o Sr. DAG (LBAA), stand transferred to o/o A. G. (Audit)-II, Mah., Nagpur with effect from 2/4/2012.
- As the revised sanctioned strength is less than the PIP in cadres of Sr. Auditors/ Auditors, the PIP shall be the interim Sanctioned Strength in the respective cadres till the time, PIP reaches the level of Sanctioned Strength due to natural attrition as per Hqrs letters No. 66/Staff (S&R)/Rat./CA/435/2018/Vol.-I dated 21-11-2018.
- Headquarters notification no 59-A/43-SMU/2017 dated 09/03/2020, the O/o of the AG (Comm.), Audit – III, Maharashtra ceased to exists.
- All Held in Abeyance (HIA) in Clerk cadre have been abolished by HQrs vide letter No. 93/SSR/Rationalisation/EDP/165-2019 VolII dated 05-02-2024.
