PROCEDURE OF FILING OF APPLICATION
A person, who desires to obtain any information under this Act shall make a request in writing or through Electronic means in English or in Hindi accompanying such fee as mentioned in Procedure 3 below.

The Applicant should clearly mention his/her Name & Address for Correspondence, Telephone No.(Optional) and specific information which he/she wants if practicable with No. & Date etc.

FEE
Fee may be made in Cash against proper receipt or by Banker’s Cheque/ Bank Draft/ Indian Postal Order in favour of FA&CAO, N.F. Railway, Maligaon,
Payable at Guwahati.
Quantum of Fee: A request for obtaining information under Sub-Section (1) of Section 6 shall be accompanied by an application fee of Rs.10/-(Rupees ten only), otherwise the request will not be treated as a valid request and no information shall be provided.
For providing the information under sub-section (1) of Section 7, the fee shall be charged at the following rates :
Rs.2/- (Rupees two only) for each page created or copied (A-4 or A-3 size paper)
Actual charge or cost price of a copy in larger size paper
Actual cost or price for samples or models and
For inspection of records, no fee is chargeable for the first hour, and a fee of Rs.5/- (Rupees five only) for each subsequent hours or part thereof.
APPEALS AND APPELLATE AUTHORITIES ETC., IF ANY
