About Us
The Office of the Deputy Chief Auditor, N.F. Railway was carved out as a separate office, from the Office of the Chief Auditor, N.E. Railway, Gorakhpur with effect from 02-April-1958 and was initially situated at Pandu, Assam. The office subsequently relocated to the newly constructed N.F. Railway Headquarters Office Complex at Maligaon. It was upgraded to the Office of the Chief Auditor with effect from 01-April-1962. Consequent upon re-designation of the post of Chief Auditor as Principal Director of Audit with effect from 01-April-1987, the Office was renamed as Office of the Principal Director of Audit, N.F. Railway.
