Step-by-Step: Connect to Wired Internet & Register for CISCO
1. Connect to Wired Internet
- Plug an Ethernet cable into your laptop or desktop.
- Ensure the other end is connected to the office network port.
2. Send MAC Address for Activation
- Find your device’s MAC address:
- Windows: Open Command Prompt → type ipconfig /all → look for "Physical Address" under Ethernet adapter.
- Mac: Go to System Preferences > Network > Ethernet > Advanced > Hardware.
- Compose an email with the following details:
- To: hasan[at]gov[dot]in; sandeep[dot]kumar9[at]nic[dot]in; sanjay[dot]nhq[at]nic[dot]in; support-iaadnet[at]nic[dot]in;
- CC: sandeepy[dot]kar[dot]au[at]cag[dot]gov[dot]in, rajaomar[dot]comm[at]cag[dot]gov[dot]in
- Subject: Activation of Mac address
- Body: Include your MAC address and device details.
- Note: This is only for registered devices with CAG.
3. Wait for Network Activation
- Once your MAC address is activated, the wired network icon will appear in your system tray (bottom-right on Windows, top-right on Mac).
4. Contact AMC for CISCO Installation
- After the wired icon becomes visible, reach out to the AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) person for help with CISCO installation.
