Overview

This Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG) contains three chapters.  Chapter I deals with Budget profile and Application of resources of State Government, Authority for conducting Audit, Planning and conduct of Audit and Responsiveness of Government to Audit.  Chapter II contains one Performance Audit on Arogya Kavacha -108 Project and Chapter III contains two compliance/thematic audits on Functioning of Karnataka Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board and Effectiveness of Social Audit besides 15 paragraphs relating to suspected fraudulent/excess payments, unfruitful/avoidable expenditure, fictitious purchases, irregularities in allotment, lapses in internal control, short/non- recoveries, shortcomings in implementation of rules and programmes, etc.
