Consequent on restructuring of Audit Offices in July 2020, the Audit Management Group I/Audit I was formed on 17.06.2020 and entrusted with Audit of Cluster 1 & Cluster 16.

The Group is responsible for the following audit activities
- Audit planning and execution.
- Performance Audit on the subjects/programmes related to Health & Welfare and General Administration for State Report and Union Report.
- Compliance Audit of the Departments falling under Cluster 1 & Cluster 16 in the State of Karnataka.
- Supplementary Audit of State Public Sector Undertakings, Corporations falling under Health & Welfare and General Administration.
- Statutory Audit of Autonomous Bodies pertaining to the 22 Departments.
- Processing of Potential paras for inclusion in the Audit Reports.
- Issue of DANs to the Head of the Departments after conclusion of Compliance
