Public debt of State Governments  consists of

• Internal Debt. Major Head 6003
• Loans and Advances from Central Government.  Major Head 6004
• State Provident Funds, Small Savings, Trusts and Endowments, Insurance and Pension funds. Loans and advances from the Centre are given for plan purposes.

Procedure

• Posting of vouchers relating to M.H. 6003.
• Maintenance of various Broadsheets in r/o State Loan and Central Loan.
• Advices are issued to the RBI for repayment of central Loans.
