Profile of Director General of Audit (Finance & Communication), Delhi

Shri Purushottam Tiwary assumed office as Director General of Audit (Finance and Communication), Delhi on 27^th August, 2024. He belongs to 1996 batch of Indian Audit and Accounts Services.

Prior to this, he was posted as Director General, (Finance and Communication) in O/o the C&AG of India. He has a vast experience of working in GASAB, PAC, Personnel, NER-II, and Examination wings at the Headquarters Office. In addition, he has also held many positions in various IAAD field audit offices at Punjab, Odisha, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh.

In the career spanning more than two decades in this department, the Officer has also served an overseas posting as Principal Director of Audit, Washington in addition to various foreign assignments in Australia, Bhutan, Geneva, Nepal, and Italy.
