Introduction
Finance & Communication (F&C) (erstwhile Post & Telecommunications) Audit Organization headed by the Director General of Audit, Finance & Communication (DGA F&C) is one of the oldest specialized wings of IA&AD. There are 14 functional Branch Audit Offices (BAOs) located all over India which are headed by Officers of the rank of Director/Dy. Director/Sr. AO Incharge.
Presently, F&C Audit Organization has a vast area of Audit including audit of Department of Post (DoP), Department of Telecommunications (DoT) of Ministry of Communications (MoC), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) including 16 PSUs and two Autonomous Bodies (TRAI and UIDAI) under these Ministries. Audit of Appropriation and Finance Accounts of these Ministries as well of IA&AD are also conducted by this Organization. This Organization has also been entrusted with audit of various PAOs of IA&AD. In addition, Audit of Department of Expenditure and Department of Economic Affairs of Ministry of Finance (MOF) and Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI) have also recently been assigned to this organization.
