Branch Office, Guwahati, Assam:
Central Revenue Audit of units located in the north-eastern States (except Department of Customs) and Central Expenditure audit of the units located in Assam are conducted by the Branch Office, Guwahati. Central audit in the north-eastern States were transferred to this Office as a part of restructuring exercise undertaken in the Department in the year 2012. (Till then, audit of these units were conducted by Office of the Accountant General (Audit), Assam.) As part of the same exercise, the Headquarters Office created the Branch Office at Guwahati in September 2012.
