Audit Management Group-IV audits the following Department:
Jail Department
Jail department is responsible for the management and improvement of jails, rehabilitation of prisoners in the State. This department works under the administrative control of the Additional Chief Secretary. Director General, Jail is the administrative head of the Directorate of the department.
Home Department
The functioning of Police department is to maintain the public peace, safety of citizen’s life and their properties, to detect crimes and prevent it and to maintain law and order. Police Department works under administrative control of the Additional Chief Secretary. The department has following Directorates.
a. Director General, Police, b. Director General, Home Guard, c. Director, Sainik Welfare d. Director, Estate, e. Director, Medico Legal Institute, g. Director, Public Prosecution.
Law and legal Department
This department deals with the judiciary functions in the state. Department works under the administrative control of the Principal Secretary. Secretary, Law and Order is administrative head of the Directorate of the department.
Commercial Coordination Cell
The Commercial Coordination Cell working under AMG-IV deals with the Accounts and expenditure audit of 18 Public Sector Undertakings, Accounts audit of 05 Autonomous Bodies and Certification of 04 World Bank Projects.
