As stipulated in the scheme of restructuring of audit arrangements in IA&AD, it was decided to open a new branch office of the office of Director General of Audit (Central Receipts), Delhi at Gwalior, to audit all receipts and expenditure at all Central Government units (including Autonomous Bodies) located in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The Branch Office thus formed on 2nd April 2012 under the cadre control of the office of the Accountant General (General & Social Sector Audit) Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior. This office has two wings, namely, Central Expenditure Audit Wing (CEA) and Central Receipt Audit Wing (CRA).
