Consequent on restructuring of State Audit Offices in Gujarat, the erstwhile Office of the Principal Accountant General (Economic and Revenue Sector Audit) Gujarat, Ahmedabad has been renamed as the Principal Accountant General (Audit-II) Gujarat, Ahmedabad. Principal Accountant General (Audit-II) Gujarat, Ahmedabad is the Cadre Controlling Authority in respect of all Group-B Gazetted officers deployed in the three audit offices i.e. Principal Accountant General (Audit-II) Gujarat, Ahmedabad, Principal Accountant General (Audit-I) Gujarat, Rajkot and Principal Director of Audit (Central), Ahmedabad and Principal Accountant General (Audit-II) Gujarat, Ahmedabad is the cadre controlling authority for all the Group-B & Group- C officials posted in the office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit-II) Gujarat, Ahmedabad and office of the Principal Director of Audit (Central), Ahmedabad.

Administration-I

Functions:

This Section is responsible for overall administration of the office including cadre controlling functions in respect of this office:

Other function of Admn-1 includes:

  • Recruitment and Resignation
  • Confirmation of various cadres.
  • Promotion and DPC Matters
  • Consideration and grant of MACP and NFU
  • Compassionate Appointment.
  • Mutual Transfer/ Deputation.
  • Transfer/Postings.
  • Preparation of Gradation List.
  • Constitution of Committee for prevention of sexual harassment of working women of this office and sending its Annual return to Headquarters Office.
  • Review of cases of Gr. B, C & D officers/officials for the purpose of pre-mature retirement under FR-56-J.
  • Grant of Special C.L. to the Staff of this office on account of natural calamities/ Bandhs/Rail Roko/Raasta Roko etc.
  • Disciplinary cases/ Vigilance Cases (including Suspension cases),
  • Processing of regular pension cases of retirees of this office and revision thereof; processing of family pension cases and also revision of pension/family pension cases, as and when instructed; maintenance of service record and database of pensioners/family  pensioners of this office.
  • Regular maintenance of Service Book, Personal File and Leave Account.
  • Issuance and cancellation of CGHS Identity cards and addition / deletion of name(s)   of family members, change of dispensary etc., Enrolment of beneficiaries under CGHS Processing and regular maintenance of Annual Return of Immovable Property of all  officers and staff in terms of Rule 18(1)(ii) of CCS (Conduct) Rules,1964.
  • Report/Returns to Headquarter Office.
  • Conducting various Departmental Examinations viz SAS Preliminary Examination, Auditor Confirmatory Examination, Incentive Examination, Typing Test for Clerk/Typists and Dept. Exam for 12th passed MTS for promotion as Clerk

Administration -II Section

Branch Officer: Shri Pawan Singla, Senior Audit Officer

Functions:

Broadly the following items of work come under the purview of this Section:-

  • Association matters
  • Legal Matters and Court cases (High Court and other Courts),
  • Monitoring of Annual Performance Appraisal Reports in respect of all cadres
  • Imparting Departmental Trainings including non-EDP Trainings
  • Accomplishing Training Needs Analysis for finalization of In-House (EDP and Non- EDP) Training.
  • Preparing Draft Calendar of Training Programmes for RTI, Mumbai and processing cases for training in other RTI’s.
  • Works related to RTI Act, 2005.
