RTI Act
Right to Information Act, 2005 is an Act to provide for setting out the practical regime of right to information for citizens to secure access to information under the control of public authorities, in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority, the constitution of a Central Information Commission and State Information Commissions and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
PROCEDURE OF FILING OF APPLICATION
A person, who desires to obtain any information under this Act shall make a request in writing or through Electronic means in English or in Hindi accompanying such fee as mentioned in Procedure below.
FORMAT OF APPLICATION FORM
The Applicant should clearly mention his/her Name & Address for Correspondence, Telephone No.(Optional) and specific information which he/she wants if practicable with No. & Date etc.
FEE
1. Fee may be paid in favour of CPIO, O/o Principal Director of Audit (Central), Hyderabad.
2. Quantum of Fee: - A request for obtaining information under Sub-Section (1) of Section 6 shall be accompanied by an application fee of Rupees Ten by way as mentioned at above. Otherwise the request will not be treated as a valid request and no information shall be provided.
For providing the information under sub-section (1) of Section 7, the fee shall be charged at the following rates:
1. Rupees two for each page created or copied (A-4 or A-3 size paper)
2. Actual charge or cost price of a copy in larger size paper
3. Actual cost or price for samples or models and
4. For inspection of records, no fee for the first hour, and a fee of rupees five for each subsequent hours.
ARRANGEMENT OF RECEIPT FOR APPLICATION & FEE
Arrangement for receipt of Application & Fee has been made at the Reception Counter of the Office. The Applicant can also remit the requisite fee as per Procedure above.
APPEALS AND APPELLATE AUTHORITIES ETC. IF ANY
Appeals against the decision of CPIO/PIO can be made before the Appellate Authority as per section 19 (1) of RTI, Act 2005.
