Direct Taxes Introduction

The function is primarily centered on the Audit of Assessments completed by Income Tax Department.  Each Assessment is checked towards its regularity vis-à-vis the existing Tax Statute. Apart from these types of Regularity Audit, the wing also conducts issue Based Performance Audits.  Non-assessment functions are also being audited.
