The Office of the Director General of Audit (Central) with a Branch Office at Bhubaneswar came into existence from April, 2012, with jurisdiction to audit Receipt and Expenditure of all Central Government units (including Central Autonomous bodies) located in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Odisha. This office reports to Dy. Comptroller and Auditor General (Central Revenue Audit) with respect to tax receipts of the Central Government and to the Dy. Comptroller and Auditor General(Report Central) for Central expenditure. 

Under the administrative charge of Director General, there are three functional Groups. Each Group is headed by an IA&AS Officer. There are three Group Officers as mentioned below:

HMain Office, Hyderabad

1) Deputy Director (Administration & Direct Taxes)

2) Director(Indirect Taxes & Central Expenditure Audit) 

Branch Office, Bhubaneshwar

 3) Deputy Director (CRA)

Each Group is divided into Branches which are headed by Senior Audit Officers in the Group A (non-IA&AS) Gazetted cadre. Branches are further subdivided into Sections headed by Assistant Audit Officers and Supervisors.
