Shri Rakesh C. Sajjan, IA&AS has taken over charge on 17^th January, 2024 as Sr. Deputy Accountant General (Accounts & VLC). He belongs to Indian Audit and Accounts Service, 2015 batch. He has done Bachelor of Engineering from VTU, Karnataka. Before joining the current post, he has served in various capacities at different field offices of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India. As Deputy Accountant General he has managed the Accounts and Entitlement related work in the Office of Pr. AG(A&E), Meghalaya and as Director in the office of the Pr. Director of Audit (Central), Hyderabad, he has experience of audit of Direct Taxes, Indirect Taxes and Central Expenditure covering the jurisdiction of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Additionally, he also has experience of Software Sector and Banking Sector work.

He is keenly interested in sports and international affair. He regularly takes sessions as Guest faculty at various training institutes.
