Commitment to a Safe Workplace

This office is committed to fostering a workplace that is safe, inclusive, and free from sexual harassment. In accordance with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (PoSH Act), the office maintains a zero-tolerance approach towards sexual harassment and is dedicated to ensuring a work environment founded on dignity, equality, and mutual respect.

Reporting of Complaints

A woman employee who experiences sexual harassment at the workplace may seek redressal through any of the following channels:

Internal Committee (IC): Complaints may be submitted to the Internal Committee constituted by this office under the PoSH Act. For assistance, employees may contact any Member of the Internal Committee. The current Internal Committee (IC) constitutes the following members:

  2. Shri Ajeto Wotsa, Sr. Audit Officer – Member
  3. Smti. Kevisenu Kulnu, Senior Audit Officer – Member
  4. Smti. Adim Monica Meru, Assistant Audit Officer – Member
  5. Smti. Neithono Sothu, President, Angami Women Organisation (AWO) – External Member

 SHe-Box Portal: Complaints may also be lodged online through theSHe- Box (Sexual Harassment electronic Box) Portal, an initiative of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India. The Portal is now also accessible through the Mission Shakti Mobile App, enabling convenient registration and tracking of complaints.

Salient Features of the PoSH Act

The PoSH Act, 2013 provides for:

Protection against sexual harassment for women at the workplace across the organized and unorganized sectors, irrespective of the nature of employment.

Prevention and prohibition of sexual harassment through awareness, sensitization, and institutional mechanisms.

A fair, impartial, and time-bound inquiry into complaints by the Internal Committee or the appropriate Local Committee, in accordance with the provisions of the Act.

Confidentiality of proceedings and protection against victimization during the complaint and inquiry process.

 

Sexual harassment includes, but is not limited to:

 Unwelcome physical contact or advances;  Demands or requests for sexual favours;

 Sexually coloured remarks;

 Showing pornography or sexually explicit material; and

 Any other unwelcome physical, verbal, or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature.

 Access the SHe-Box Portal through the App.

 Take the online pledge to support a workplace free from sexual harassment.

 Promote awareness of the PoSH Act and the SHe-Box Portal among colleagues and stakeholders.
