Overview

The Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India on Social and General Sectors for the year ended 31 March 2016 of Government of Manipur (Report No. 1 of 2017) has been prepared for submission to the Governor under Article 151 of the Constitution of India.

Chapter I deals with Social Sector. Performance Audits on Implementation of Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (RTE), Implementation of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) - Reproductive and Child Health and Implementation of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) are featured in this chapter. Compliance Audit Paragraphs in respect of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Department, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department and Tribal Affairs and Hills Department are also featured in this Chapter.

Chapter II is in respect of General Sector. Compliance Audit Paragraphs in respect of Finance Department and Planning Department are also featured in this Chapter.

Finally, Chapter III deals with Follow up of Audit Observations. This chapter points out the follow up on Audit Reports, Action Taken on Recommendation of Public Accounts Committee, Monitoring of Audit Observations and Response to Audit Observations and Outstanding Inspection Reports by the State Government.
