Overview of Training
A structured- initiative, with an objective of strengthening the skills of every employee and to bring them all to a higher level so that they have similar skills with diverse emerging ideas and knowledge. It enhances functional efficiency of the department and all-round development of staff with a confluence of academic rigour and intellectual freedom coupled with ethical and professional standards. Training is planned to address the existing gaps with required competencies assessed from Annual work plan of the office through Training Need Analysis.
Training Levels
In-House:
A decentralised training module to assign active role in training at Group level and to meet their specific training needs that are unique in nature. An Annual In-house training calendar is prepared by consolidating the training needs of all the wings in the beginning of each year. The trainings are conducted at Group level by each wing. Faculty to these trainings is drawn from academicians, departmental officials, retired experts as well as serving staff. A quarterly report is also prepared and sent to Headquarters on the conduct of these courses. In order to ensure the relevance and utility of these trainings, feedback of all the trainees is obtained and necessary action is taken.
Regional Capacity Building & Knowledge Institute (RCB&KI), Chennai:
This office is a user office of Regional Capacity Building & Knowledge Institute, Chennai. The training needs at regional level are met through periodical trainings for General and EDP courses round the year as per the Annual Calendar of Training Programmes (CoTP). The trainees are required to submit an Impact Evaluation form in the SAI (CB) Portal after three (03) months from the last day of training to assess the utility and Impact of training as assessed by their supervising officer and Group officer. A biannually report is submitted to the Headquarters regarding the utilisation, or non-utilisation, of training slots allocated in the CoTP.
Other Training programmes:
This office also nominates officials to various training programmes for training in Knowledge Resource centre topics to the institutes across the entire nation. This encourages knowledge sharing across the nation and trainees are encouraged to impart training on these topics in-house. Similar to the trainings at RCB&KI, Chennai, the trainees submit an Impact Evaluation form to their supervising officer, in the SAI (CB) Portal, after three (03) months from the last day of training to assess the utility and Impact of training.
Departmental Trainings:
Departmental trainings are imparted to the staff appearing for various departmental examinations for their professional development and career progression. Training programmes are conducted for SAS/RAE/DEA/DEOs Grade A to Grade B training. Further Compulsory regional language training is arranged at the SRR & CVR Govt. Degree College in Vijayawada.
System Automation Initiative (SAI)
System Automation Initiative Capacity Building (SAI Capacity Building) application is a technology driven initiative to automate the complete workflow of administrative activities connected with the training activities in Indian Audit and Accounts Department (IAAD). It is designed as a one-stop solution for capacity building activities in IAAD with a comprehensive database of employees, training data, faculty and training materials. The application enables end-to-end online processing of training needs analysis, training calendars, nominations and registration, feedback and impact assessment, cutting down, considerably, the time and efforton these activities.
