Shri Lokesh Datal, a distinguished officer of the 2017 batch of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS), holds a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Trichy. He is presently serving as the Senior Deputy Accountant General (Administration) in the Office of the Accountant General (A&E), Uttarakhand, where he also holds additional charges of Funds, Pension, and Works Accounts.

Previously, he served with distinction as the Deputy Accountant General (Audit) in the Office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit), Punjab, where he led several impactful audits across critical sectors such as Health, Police, Forest, PWD, Irrigation, and Labour.

Shri Datal has continually broadened his professional expertise through advanced audit programs covering subjects like extractive industries, smart cities, hospital outcomes, climate change, information system security, and data analytics. He has undergone training at premier institutions such as iCED Jaipur and iCISA Noida, and has also completed a prestigious overseas attachment with the United Nations in New York.
