Shri Sanjay Kumar is a 2002 IA&AS Officer. He started his career as Assistant Accountant General at O/o PAG Jharkhand, Ranchi from August 2004 to August 2005. He served as Under secretary in Ministry of External Affairs from Nov 2010 to Nov 2013. He was then posted as Sr. Dy. Accountant General (Economic Sector) O/o PAG(Audit) Delhi. During 2016-2018, he served as Director in O/o PDA Washington and was afterwards posted as Principal Director of Audit, SW Railways, Hubli, Karnataka. He joined as Principal Director of Audit (Central), Lucknow on 24.06.2022. He also served as Principal ICISA Noida which is SAI India’s premier training institute engaged in capacity building of auditors across the globe, primarily in the areas related to IS Audit and Data Analytics. He has been also involved in the UN Audits at USA, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Denmark, Thailand and has visited more than 20 countries as representative of Supreme Audit Institution of India (SAI). He joined as Director General of Audit (Central), Lucknow on 07.05.2026
