Functions of the Four Sections of Audit Management Group-I
Audit Management Group-I consists of four sections, namely: Headquarters, Vetting-I, Vetting-II, and the DP Cell. The functions of these sections are as follows:
1. Audit Management Group-I (Headquarters)
The Headquarters Section is the controlling section of Audit Management Group-I. It primarily performs the following functions:
- Preparation of the Annual Audit Plan and Annual Forecast.
- Updating of the Permanent Programme Register.
- Preparation of quarterly tour programmes for field parties.
- Processing staff proposals, including transfers and postings.
- Disposal of communications received from the C&AG.
- Consolidation of progress reports and various returns.
- Scrutiny of TA bills relating to tour programmes and submission of the same to the Claims Section.
- Disposal of RTI applications and complaints received from various sources.
- Receipt of Inspection Reports and forwarding them to the concerned Vetting Sections.
- Performing other administrative functions assigned to the section.
2. Audit Management Group-I (Vetting-I)
The Vetting-I Section is responsible for:
- Vetting, editing, typing, and issuing Inspection Reports relating to:
- Environment, Forest & Climate Change Department.
- Science & Technology Department. Along with their subordinate offices and units.
- Scrutiny and review of compliance reports received from the concerned auditee units.
- Preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly progress reports.
3. Audit Management Group-I (Vetting-II)
The Vetting-II Section is responsible for:
- Vetting, editing, typing, and issuing Inspection Reports relating to:
- Industries Department.
- Mines & Geology Department.
- Transport Department. Along with their subordinate offices and units.
- Scrutiny and review of compliance reports received from the concerned auditee units.
- Preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly progress reports.
4. Audit Management Group-I (DP Cell)
The DP Cell is responsible for:
- Processing and strengthening Potential Draft Paragraphs (DPs).
- Correspondence with the concerned departments, divisions, and offices regarding Potential Draft Paragraphs.
- Preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly progress reports.
