Introduction: Audit Management Group-I (Audit-II)
Audit Management Group-I (Audit-II) is responsible for conducting audit of the Environment, Forest & Climate Change Department, Science & Technology Department, Industries Department, Mines & Geology Department, and Transport Department, along with their subordinate offices and units under relevant sections of the CAG’s DPC Act, 1971.
The Group carries out compliance audit and performance audit to assess whether public funds are utilized economically, efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with the applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Also, identifying areas requiring improvement and promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance in the functioning of the departments under its audit jurisdiction.
