Functions
Introduction:
Audit Management Group-III is under the overall control of the Senior Deputy Accountant General/Deputy Accountant General (Sr. DAG/DAG), who coordinates all group activities. To ensure efficient functioning, the Group Officer is supported by Senior Audit Officers who oversee their respective wings and cells, including the Headquarters, Financial Audit Wing, State Finance Cell, and IT Audit/Data Analytic Cell.
Audit Management Group-III (AMG-III) is entrusted with the audit of the Department of Finance (specifically Finance & Planning) and autonomous bodies of the Punjab Government, such as the Punjab Infrastructure Development Board (PIDB) and the Punjab Infrastructure Regulatory Authority (PIRA).
State Finance Report and Financial Audit Functions:
Preparation of CAGs Annual Reports on State Finance for the Government of Punjab including Certification of Finance and Appropriation Accounts. Audit of sanctions of Government of Punjab and preparation of Audit Notes.
IT Audit/Data Analytic Cell:
Conduct IS Audit of IT applications operational in Government of Punjab. Data analytics cell performs data analysis work and provides support related to restoration/analysis of data as per requirement.
