Dr. Surendra Kumar assumed charge as Accountant General in this office on 18-11-2025 (FN). Dr. Surendra Kumar is holding regular charge as Accountant General in the office of the Accountant General (Accounts and Entitlements) since 18.11.2025.

Prior to this, he has worked in various capacities, as Dy. Accountant General(IC/CA), Office of the Pr. Accountant General (Audit), Haryana; Dy.Accountant General, Office of the Accountant General (Audit), Sikkim, Sr.Dy. Accountant General, Office of the Pr. Accountant General (A & E), Haryana: Sr. Dy. Accountant General (RS), Office of the Pr. Dy. Accountant General (Audit). Punjab; Sr. Dy. Accountant General (AMG-V), Office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit)-1, Uttar Pradesh, Prayagraj and Director, Office of The Principal Director of Audit, Washington DC.

During his posting abroad, he has handled the Audit of Indian Missions/ Posts in both North and South America including Caribbean. Apart from his posting in Washington, he has done the Audit of UNPKO/ UNDOF and UNICEF.

He is an IA&AS Officer of 2008 batch. He has MBBS degree.
