From the Editor's Desk
The Indian Audit and Accounts Department was bringing out a quarterly publication, “Journal of Management and Training” containing articles on audit and accounts, and related management issues from April 1984. The Journal played an important role in the exchange of innovative ideas in the fields of accounting, auditing and management besides serving as a forum for sharing experiences.
“Journal of Government Audit and Accounts” is the revived, reinvented and rechristened e-version of the earlier journal. I am happy to place before the readers the first issue of the new e-Journal on Government Audit and Accounts. We hope that this journal would serve as an internal communication channel disseminating best practices, major happenings in the Department as well as in international arena in the related fields.
In this issue, we carry articles on aadhaar and audit, innovations in pensions, case study on preparing audit report on water pollution and an article on issues relating to migration contributed by IAAS probationers. The issue carries information on new policy initiatives, news from the international desk and a write up on iCED as regular features.
I hope the readers would find the contents of the Journal interesting and useful. I invite feedback and suggestions to make this initiative a success.
