Engagement with Multilateral Forums
1) BRICS
The BRICS Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) forum is a collaborative platform comprising the audit institutions of BRICS member countries – Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa – along with new members Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, and United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. It aims to promote transparency, accountability, and good governance by facilitating knowledge sharing, developing modern auditing methodologies, and building institutional capacity. BRICS SAIs periodically meet to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and strengthen cooperation in public sector auditing. These engagements focus on key themes including audit innovation, sustainable development, capacity building, and technological integration. They often culminate in joint declarations or action plans to enhance audit methodologies and address governance challenges shared by the member states.
