Overview

The Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India on Local Bodies for the period ended March 2024- Report No.6 of 2026, Government of Haryana, was prepared for submission to the Hon’ble Governor of Haryana under the Comptroller and Auditor General’s (Duties, Powers and Conditions of Service) Act, 1971, for being placed before Legislative Assembly of Haryana. The Audit Report was forwarded to the State Government on 21 August 2026 and has been placed in the Legislature on 1 September 2026.

This Report contains four chapters including Overview of Local Bodies of the State, Subject Specific Compliance Audit on Utilisation of Fifteenth Finance Commission grants by Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), Function-Based Audit of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and Compliance Audit of Municipalities.
