Overview

This Report contains six chapters. The first and fourth chapters contain an overview of the functioning, accountability mechanism and financial reporting issues of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) respectively. The second chapter contains Performance Audit report on ‘Construction Activities by PRIs’ and ‘Long paragraph on Social Audit of Schemes’ relating to PRIs while the fifth chapters contains ‘Long Paragraph on Swarna Jayanti Shahri Rojgar Yojna’ relating to ULBs. The third and sixth chapters contain compliance audit paragraphs, one on PRIs and four on ULBs respectively.
