Shri Santosh Kumar, batch of 2000 assumed office as the Principal Director of Audit, Air Force, New Delhi on 16/01/2023 (AN). He was posted as Principal Director of Commercial Audit, (Defence PSUs) Bangalore where he was doing Performance, Compliance and Certification Audit of all the Defence PSUs in the country. He has done B.A. (Hons) Maths. Stats. from Delhi University, MBA (IIM Lucknow)- Marketing & Finance and UGC (GRF) in Marketing.
His sector of work experience includes:
1. Director (Deptt of Commerce)- Export Promotion Councils of various products, Export Policies for Regions.
2. CAO-DDA (Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs)- Development of Land and Cities.
3. Director (International Training of CAG Institute)- Trained more than 200 International delegates from more than 50 countries.
4. Director (Economic and Finance Ministry Audit) CAG first all India report of NREGA and Audited heavy expenditure ministries like Agriculture, Rural Development, Water Resources etc.
He is primarily entrusted with the responsibility of Government Audit of all units of Indian Air Force including contracts (Capital and Revenue), Receipts and expenditure, sanctions, MES and associated R&D (DRDO Labs) through Delhi office and two branch Audit offices located at Dehradun and Bengaluru.
He acts as the administrative Head of the Indian Air Force Audit in all the matters. He is also responsible for laying of Defence Audit Report (Air Force) before the Parliament.
His interest includes Golf, Badminton and Tennis. He was the individual winner at CAG Golf Tournament in 2010. He loves theatre and reading books of National importance.
