The Office of the Principal Director of Audit, Industry and Corporate Affairs, New Delhi is responsible for Transaction/Compliance, Financial, Proforma and Performance audit of MSME, Heavy industries, Commerce & Industry Ministries and various departments of Government of India.

The office of the Principal Director of Audit (Industry and Corporate Affairs) is the Cadre Controlling Authority for (i) all cadres up to Sr. Audit Officer (Civil) borne on the combined strength of DGA (Energy), DGA (E&SD), New Delhi, DGA (I&CA) New Delhi, PDA (Infrastructure) New Delhi and (ii) cadre control for the cadres of Sr. AO (Civil) in respect of branch offices of DGA (E&SD), New Delhi at Mumbai and Kolkata.
