SANJEEV KUMAR, 
ACCOUNTANT GENERAL (AUDIT) UTTARAKHAND

Shri Sanjeev Kumar assumed charge as Accountant General (Audit), Uttarakhand on June 19, 2025. He is a 2009 batch officer of the Indian Audit and Accountant Service (IA&AS). He holds a M.Tech degree from IIT Madras.

Prior to his posting in Uttarakhand, he served as Director in the office of the Principal Director of Audit, Washington. He has held several key positions including Deputy Accountant General and Senior Deputy Accountant General in the States of Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat. He also served as Director, CDMA in the office of C&AG, New Delhi, and as Director in the office of the Director General of Audit (Central Expenditure), New Delhi.

Shri Kumar brings with him extensive experience in auditing a wide range of sectors. His international audit assignments include financial and compliance audits conducted at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
