Shri Lhunkhothang Hangsing of the 1996 batch of Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) took charge as Principal Accountant General Aizawl, Mizoram from 15 September, 2021.
A graduate in Commerce from St. Anthony's College, Shillong, he has also completed Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the prestigious Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP), National University of Singapore, Singapore. He has rich experience in handling oversight functions in Civil and Commercial Audit and has undertaken audit assignments pertaining to Indian Missions abroad and Agencies/Departments of the United Nations in South Sudan, Lyon, Geneva, Rome and New York.
Prior to his posting in Aizawl, Mizoram, he served as Principal Accountant General (A&E) - II, Maharashtra, Nagpur; as Principal Director of Audit, Indian Audit Office, High Commission of India, Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur: as Accountant General (A&E), Meghalaya and as Director/Sr. Deputy Accountant General in New Delhi, Bangalore and Imphal.
