The functions of the Divisional Accountant are threefold. 

• As an Accountant, compiler of the accounts of the Division in accordance with the prescribed rules.
• As an internal checker, primary auditor charged with the responsibility of applying certain primary checks to the initial accounts, vouchers, etc.
• As a financial assistant, advising the Divisional Officer in all matters relating to the accounts and budget estimates or in the operation of financial rules generally.
