CIVIL ACCOUNTS
Monthly Civil Accounts are prepared by this office every month before the 25th of succeeding month and sent to State Government (Finance Department).
Main highlight of Accounts is also sent to State Government (Finance Department) in the forwarding letter.
VOUCHER LEVEL COMPUTERIZATION
The VLC project was taken up for implementation in this office in October 1999. This office is now in a position to generate financial information with respect to State's expenditure and receipts at all levels i.e. (detail head level, Drawing & Disbursing Officer-wise, Controlling Officer-wise, etc).
Initially Voucher level computerisation was setup with 2 Servers with OS as Unixware 7.1.0. and Oracle 8 which was later upgraded to Unixware 7.1.1. and Oracle 8i (8.1.7.4.). Since July 2012, VLC system has been upgraded to Redhat Linux as OS and Database as Oracle 11g. Presently we are having client machines with at least 1 GB RAM and 4 line printers.
An administrative structure named System Support Group (SSG) for Database and System Administration involving administration, accounts and EDP has been entrusted with coordinating actual software development and data entry, formulation and implementation of password policies, security and providing Data Base Administration services. Procedures and norms have been devised to regulate data entry.
