The Public Information Officer may be addressed to obtain information as per requirements under Section 4 (1) of the Right to Information Act, 2005.

In pursuance of Section 5 (1) of the Right to Information Act, 2005, the Dy. Accountant General (Admn) of this office has been designated as Public Information Officer for the Office of the Accountant General, Arunachal Pradesh. In accordance with Section 4 (1) (b) of the said Act, information on the following items can be obtained from the Public Information Officer of this office:
1.Particulars of the office, its functions and duties.
2.Powers and duties of officers and employees.
3.Procedure followed in the decision making process, including channels of supervision and accountability
4.Rules, regulations, instructions, manuals and records used by officials for discharging their functions.
5.Categories of documents held by or under the control of the office.
6.Directory of officers and employees - Gradation List of officers and staff.
7.Monthly remuneration received by officers and staff, including the system of compensation as provided in the regulations.
8.Budget allocated to the office, proposed expenditure and reports in disbursement made.
9.Details of information available to, or held by the office, reduced in an electronic form.Persons desirous of eliciting information from the Public Information Officer will have to pay a prescribed fee.

Receipt of Fees Under Rule 3 of the Right to Information (Regulation of Fee & Cost) Rules, 2005, a request for obtaining information under Section 6 (1) of the RTI Act, shall be accompanied by an Application Fee of ` 10/- in cash against proper receipt or by Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque payable to the Pay & Accounts Officer, Indian Audit Department, Itanagar - 791 111.

For providing information under Sub-Section (1) of Section 7, Fees shall be paid in cash against proper receipt or by Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque payable to the Pay & Accounts Officer, Indian Audit Department, Itanagar-791 111, at the following rates:
1.` 2/- for each page (in A-4 or A-3 size paper) created or copied.
2. Actual charge or cost price of a copy in larger size paper. 
3. Actual cost or price for samples or models; and 
4. For inspection of records, no fee for the first hour; and a fee of ` 5/- for each subsequent hour (or fraction thereof) thereafter.

For providing the information under Sub-Section (5) of Section 7, the fee shall be paid in cash against proper receipt or by Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque payable to the Pay & Accounts Officer, Indian Audit Department, Itanagar-791 111, at the following rates:-
1.For information provided in diskette/floppy/CD ` 50/- per diskette/floppy/CD; and
2.For information provided in printed form at the price fixed for such publication or ` 2/- per page of photocopy for extracts from the publication.
Application Fees and other Fees charged for providing information under Section 6 (1) of of Sub-Section (1) & (5) of Section 7 of the RTI Act shall be in cash or Cheque/DD/Bankers Cheques drawn in favour of the Pay & Accounts Officer, Indian Audit Department, Itanagar – 791 111.

However, in respect BPL applicants, as may be determined by the appropriate Government, no Fees are payable.
