Manish Kumar is a seasoned civil servant with over 32 years of distinguished service in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department. A graduate in Economics and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), he entered the service in 1991 through direct recruitment and currently holds the rank of Additional Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General (ADAI).

Throughout his career, he has held several key positions, including Director General at the National Academy of Audit and Accounts, Shimla; Director General (Examination) and DG (Economic & Service Ministries) at CAG Headquarters, New Delhi; and Principal Accountant General in Uttar Pradesh. His diverse experience spans central audit, training, administration, accounts and entitlements, and deputation roles, including positions in the Delhi Development Authority and New Delhi Municipal Council.

He has participated in various domestic training programs in performance audit, strategic leadership, IT audit, and data analytics. His international assignments include audits and official engagements in Geneva, Rome, Madrid, New York, Moscow, Manila, Egypt, and Thailand. Mr. Kumar has represented the Indian SAI at several global platforms, such as INTOSAI working groups and United Nations audits, contributing significantly to global public audit and governance.

Fluent in Maithili, Sanskrit, English, and Hindi, he combines strong analytical capabilities with a global perspective on public financial oversight and institutional development.
